Failures Not An Option

<p><span>&nbsp;I am 20 years old and I'm not your average 20 year old who is planning his 21st birthday and thinking of all the young ladies he wants to invite. I'm 20 years old and I am married to the woman of my dreams. She has helped me in so many ways,she has stood by and supported me as I&nbsp;<strong><em>changed my life</em></strong><strong><em>literally.</em></strong></span></p> <p><span>Allow me to explain, I grew up and like many other children these days I don't come from a normal home life. I had a lot of personal issues at a very young age and by the time I was 15 I found myself captivated by the street life that surrounded me.&nbsp;<strong>When I was 16 I joined a gang</strong>&nbsp;and by the time&nbsp;<strong>I was 17 I was in a juvenile hall on gun charges.&nbsp;</strong></span></p> <p><span>Once&nbsp;released from juvenile hall&nbsp;<strong>I realized I had to make a choice</strong>, between a lifestyle that would&nbsp;lead to<strong>&nbsp;death or life in prison&nbsp;</strong>and&nbsp;<strong>finding a way out.</strong>&nbsp;Pretty easy decision right?&nbsp;<strong>Not as easy as it sounds</strong>. To join a gang is dangerous but&nbsp;<strong>to try to leave a gang is near impossible.</strong>Never the less I did it. I have overcome many obstacles,<strong>&nbsp;had lasers burn my tattooed skin, knifes cut out a facial tattoo, sealed records,</strong>&nbsp;<strong>maintained a job for 3 years and changed my life.</strong></span></p> <p><span><strong>Now I have a baby on the way and it is a very amazing feeling.&nbsp;</strong>It is also very scary and I am determined that my son will not go through what I went through. I have decided failure is not an option and I want to set the best example for him. I want to set the best example for anybody who was in my situation.</span></p>
