I'm an American essayist, poet and general troublemaker.

I've been a writer of some kind for as long as I can remember. I have published two collections of poems and four collections of essays, as well as having contributed articles, art reviews, and chess journalism to numerous online and print publications. I have also written songs, comics, and short films, and optioned a feature-length screenplay I co-wrote to a major studio. I have funded a residency in Cairo, and a North-American book tour through Indiegogo, and I am grateful for your support!
