Many Canadians are shocked to hear our democracy is in serious trouble. Elizabeth May is correct when she identifies low voter turn-out, worryingly low levels among young people, staggering public apathy & indifference, growing concentration of power in the hands of few, hyper-partisanship & unrelenting party discipline, gutting of laws that protect citizens... We're backsliding and need change now. I want to make sure my kids live in a democracy that protects the things our lives depend on.
