<div id="artistCentralBio_officialFullBioContent" class="artistCentralBio_biographyBody"> <p>In 1995 Canadian Writer Robert Greene embarked to write a series of short stories called "Folklore Stories of the World." The stories were a series of allegories set to teach gay men about valiantly , chivalry and selfless romantic acts. Robert Greene wanted to show romantic relations would give deeper meaning to gay men over sexual relations and felt through a series of stories he would be successful.<br />He is famous for his quote : "Romantics are to gays, what Christians were to Roman's back in the day...something to feed to the lions"<br />ICON CLASSIC Press in February 2011 would later acquire the short stories branding their own name as an e-book series called the GAY ICON CLASSICS OF THE WORLD.<br />In 2000, SBC Magazine (defunct) SPRING edition published Greene's first of a series of short stories. The story was entitled "The Soiled Loin Cloth", the magazine's editor Stanley Bennett Clay accompanied the piece with a photograph of two Nubian men wrestling in the water. The piece garnered much attention for the magazine and Greene was again requested to submit another short.<br />Greene then went on to submit "The Wrong Voice Far Away" which was published in the WINTER 2001 Edition of SBC Magazine.<br />In 2003, The Halifax Herald Newspaper (Halifax, Nova Scotia) acquired a piece written by Greene called "Africville: A Young Girls Journey. It detailed his mother's memory of as a child visiting long lost relatives. Greene believed that this branch of relatives came to Canada as runaway slaves from the USA.<br />In 2006, the editor of "Letters From Camp Rehoboth" honoured Robert Greene's efforts in bringing romantic love to gay men published "The Journey and the Jewels" for their February 10, 2006 in time for Valentine's Day. That same year, "The Journey and the Jewels" received a lot of praise both in Canada and the USA. The Watermark (Florida's LGBT Weekly Publication) gave "Kudos" to the piece.<br />In 2008, Greene's writing interest turn to more controversial issues like bisexuality and casual encounters. CROSSOVERS: Straight Men - Gay Encounters addresses a growing trend in sexual awareness among men.<br />2011 Marked the final "journey" with the collection finally being put together in a series of books called "The Gay Icon Classics Of The World" The stories cover which cover five contents and over 30 countries. Each gay love story represented a culture and a people that touched even the staunchest of critics. When critically acclaimed author and Jewish scholar Rabbi Greenberg was told of a hebrew story (Halo's Golden Circle), he warned of a possible rejection of the piece. However, upon reading the except, Rabbi Greenberg remarked "beautiful story".<br />This year 2012, marks the much anticipated release of the second volume under the title; "The Gay Icon Classics Of The World II". The work shows the strong asian influence and research that Mr. Greene has placed in his goal of understand gay cultures from around the world.<br />Greene credits his writing talent to his mother who was an English teacher in Connecticut and father being the President/CEO of a publishing company.<br />Today, Greene is challenging human thought once again with "This High School Has Closets" which is a controversial piece about "not coming out in high school." The book address gay sexuality, drinking and other realistic issues facing teens today that he feels have been "glossed over" in many coming of age gay stories.<br />Through his writing, Mr. Greene continues to challenge people in their thinking of gays in history, sexuality and love.</p> </div>
