Surrounded by talent!

I joined the Music Opportunity Program (MOP) on February 29, 2012.

Right away, I noticed that the dedicated music faculty loved teaching students and helping them in their musical journey.

The best thing about MOP is it is a small nonprofit that thinks big, utilizes every resource to the max, and continues to teach with reduced funding - including teaching in three schools for free, because music plays such an important role in the overall education of a student, a school, a community.

MOP students represent 78 schools in 33 cities across Central Alabama, and students across socio-economic lines work together to provide beautiful orchestral music for the community.

I know that this was supposed to be about me, the author, the person running the campaign. But this campaign isn't about me - its about the next generation of leaders who have been inspired by those who could pitch in and help them along their educational, cultural, and self-discovering journey.
