My mom used to complain I brought home every "stray dog, cat and kid in the county" After 20 years as a high tech consultant, I fell into rescue when I saved a tiny group of kittens in my yard. I spent the next two years trying to trap their wily momcat, Maggie. Maggie toyed with me for two years before walking in the house on her own one day. Ten years later she is still the sweetest, smartest cat I - an avowed "dog person" - have ever met. Maggie has raised many an orphan kitten since.
