Ondine - In Your Element

<p>An Aussie diver living in Spain and trying to make a difference in the world of marine conservation, whilst continuing to build an adventure and lifestyle company based on quality over quantity.</p> <p>Without the support of my amazing wife Bea, none of the conservation work that I do would be possible.&nbsp;</p> <p>Since moving to Mallorca 3 years ago I have created a PADI distinctive specialty called Shark Discovery, aimed at giving the divers who visit Palma Aquarium for a shark dive a day of discovering the myserious world of sharks.&nbsp;</p> <p>We also teamed up with the equally passionate David Diley to produce a short film called Behind Blue Glass, with a very powerful message that an encounter with a living shark is a positive life affirming experience.</p> <p>All of the work I have done up to now has been funded by both Bea and I, we are now looking to find external sponsors and support to continue the grassroots conservation projects we have planned for this amazing part of the world.</p> <p>I believe that the people of the Balearic Islands have the ability to lead the way in Mediterranean Marine Conservation, something that is in desperate need of happening on a large scale due to the devestation the Med has seen over the last 30-40 years.</p> <p>Since being here in Mallorca we have discovered that many local people want to do something for their home and its surrounding sea, but dont know where to start, this is where we come in...giving local people, local groups and businesses an opportunity to assist and learn about local marine conservation and what is really happening here in the Med.</p>
