Jimmy Dority

<p><span>Jimmy Dority currently lives in Portland, ME where he is invested in the wide-ranging local music scene.</span></p> <p>After having spent several years in self-education, he presently studies Composition at the University of Southern Maine under the mentorship of resident composer Daniel Sonenberg. Outside of study he has worked in a plethora of styles, including musical direction of "The Threepenny Opera", arrangement for tin-pan alley band "Over A Cardboard Sea", and, most recently, guitar and keyboard work with indie rock band "Foam Castles".</p> <p>His writing is an attempt to bring esoteric music into a pop context and blur the lines of genre, style, and high/low-brow music.</p>
