<p>I am a third generation Pittsburgh-ite with a family heritage that is proud of being born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Go Steelers! After serving in the Air Force, I landed my first job in Hollywood as a PA for Bluebird. I worked my way up to camera assistant, then camera operator, and eventually achieved Director of Photography (DP). With over twenty years in this business, I have worked on numerous feature films in many different capacities.</p> <p>My passion for the areas surrounding Pittsburgh led me to shoot a documentary. I have noticed over the years, when I have gone back to visit my family, that Pittsburgh has finally recovered from the 1980s collapse when the steel mills shut down. The unfortunate satellite towns that once helped Pittsburgh prosper are now blighted. I want to let the people tell their own stories about the struggles they face in trying to make their towns prosperous again.</p>
