I am a 'green guy', I love life and nature. I steward bees since 2008, looking for ways to treat them naturaly and with respect and reverance for all life, and last december everything came together in one GREAT IDEA. All I have to do is to start a good project for the bees. There has been more than enough exploitation and control, much seems so industrial: industrial agriculture, industrial beekeeping... And it's clear now that that's not healthy.

Together with my partner and some friends (we're doing organic agriculture together and we share the abundance: see http://plukrijp.be) we started this project called Hapiculture. (in Flemish: 'Hapicultuur') We developed our beekeeping method from apicentric beekeeping, Warré and Perone beekeeping method, and most importantly: we follow our hearts.

In general, beekeeping and modern beekeeping problems are looked at with the mind. That's good but it needs something else. So we add our love for nature, our enthousiasm and our passion. Like this we developed HAPICULTURE, we built hives, we made a website and while working we talked about how this could be made BIG. We would like this to be as big as possible because we feel the need.

We are not interested in making a big business, we have everything we need and desire. And this project is only about biodiversity, not about agriculture anyway. First we wanted to ask support from the ministry of environment and the european community. But then we found out about crowd funding, and because we like more the possibility of Hapiculture to be founded and carried by many people...

here we are
