After graduating in July 2013, I began working for ACRES in August of the same year. I moved to Lao PDR to help develop the Lao Zoo Wildlife Sanctuary, where we hope to see all the animals have their own islands, with minimal human contact. Our small ACRES team here in Lao works with and alongside the Lao Zoo staff to help provide a better life for all the animals under our care. It is a tough job with many obstacles, but the rewards for the animals are what keeps me going.
