Kelly OBrien

<p>I'm an American studio artist who works and lives near Frankfurt, Germany. My work includes sculptural paper installations, artist books, and mixed media prints. Inspirations include fashion design, dance, and personal narrative. A classically trained dancer, I feel most connected to the work when creating figurative work that explores rhythm, flow, and movement.</p> <p>Back in the US, I'm a juried artist at the <a href="http://www.torpedofactory.org/artists/Obrien_k.htm" target="_blank">Torpedo Factory</a> in Alexandria, Virginia. One of my favorite arts organizations is <a href="http://www.pyramidatlanticartcenter.org/" target="_blank">Pyramid Atlantic Art Center</a>, where I first discovered and fell in love with the book arts.</p>
