I sometimes wonder if I am creating Beatjazz or if Beatjazz is using me to create itself...

My Name is Onyx Ashanti. I am an artist. The world around us is ripe with inspiration for interpretation.  for investigation.  my palette is software. my canvas is sound. my methodology is improvisation.  I call this methodology Beatjazz.  it is a form of recursive improvisation.  i use machines as an adjunct to my own creative processes.  there is no distinction or difference between "natural" and "artificial" for me anymore. Machines have always been part of my mental and creative processes.  My goal...my desire, is to show the world how i see and hear the world...a perspective.  to that end, beatjazz is my voice.  a voice of improvisationally created audio constructs such as this one.  I continue to move forward with the concept and now feel that it time to take it to its next logical progression.
