Infinite Learning & Love for Youth

<p>We are a group of University students that developed a program called Students for Future Students in order to give street kids in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia the opportunity to go to school. This program consists of volunteers and students engaging the youths through a weekly session of tutoring and encouragement for the select children. SFS is the first program that we have started through the Learning Lions group.</p> <p>The organizing students visit the various school (in which our SFS students are enrolled) EACH month to pay their monthly school fee, and initially for annual registration, photos and book purchase. They work very hard and take time from their school duties and personal life to ensure that these kids are taken care of when they decide to join our program.&nbsp;</p> <p>These kids are attending night school (after 5pm) to ensure that they are still able to make a few Birr (ETB) each morning to sustain themselves. Still a MAXimum of 10 birr per day (17ETB: 1USD). So when they choose to begin in our SFS program it shows they have real interest and aspiration to get an education; and we would like to do all within our power to keep them comfortable and supported throughout the process.&nbsp;</p> <p>The ultimate goal is reaching higher education and establishing themselves in their interested career fields. We would like to collaborate with local and international businesses and companies that may be able to contribute through workshops or possible internship support in order to expand our network and possibilities for the hard-working youths in the program.</p> <p>(We are also working with the juvinile center in Addis to help those newly released from the jail system have something to look forward to as well. It is important that we do our best to make sure all young people are given the chance and not left on the sidelines to be misunderstood)&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p><em>With goals to establish a public library, thrift store, volunteer center and eventually free schools we are seeking support from the young people spread out all throughout the world!
