Filmmaker, cancer survivor, hockey fan

Originally from Erie, PA (Fairview, to be precise), I have worked in the film and television industry for 20 years. &nbsp;My first job was working on my professor's independent feature film between my junior and senior year at Penn State. &nbsp;I received my B.A. in film and video in 1992, and received my Master's degree in Directing and Producing from American University in 1998.<div><br><div>I produced an independent feature, <a href="http://www.solidfilms.com/marymary/index.html" title="" target=""><i>Mary/Mary</i></a>, which screened at over 20 film festivals and won several Best Feature awards in 2002 and 2003. &nbsp;My most recent film, the short mockumentary <a href="http://cedtp.blogspot.com/" title="" target=""><i>Cross-Eyed Dinner Theater Presents!</i></a><i>,</i> screened at five film festivals and was nominated for Best Comedy (a rare honor for a short film competing against feature films, too). &nbsp;I have worked over the years as a producer, director, writer, sound mixer, camera operator, assistant director and editor in Washington, DC and Los Angeles, CA.</div><div><br></div><div>It is nearly three years after completing my cancer treatment and I am in the middle of the biggest adventure of my life -- learning to play hockey and documenting the journey as a way to contribute to fighting cancer and to pay tribute to all the people who helped me during my battle against Hodgkins Lymphoma.</div></div>
