I am an intrepid spiritual explorer. I've been a Zen Buddhist monk and teacher, a senior editor for Tricycle: The Buddhist Review, and am the founder of spiritual study groups across the country. My publications include SEEDS FROM A BIRCH TREE: Writing Haiku and the Spiritual Journey; MEDITATION WITHOUT GURUS: A Guide to the Heart of Practice; and HOW TO BELIEVE IN GOD: Whether You Believe in Religion or Not.
