Bio

San Francisco State University's Asian American Studies Department Graduate, Matthew Abaya is a writer, director and visual effects artist whose work has been seen in award winning music videos and short films. His first feature length motion picture “Vampariah” (2016) uses cultural influences and the horror/sci-fi genre as a vehicle to discuss race and identity. Vampariah earned top honors at the International Film Fest Hong Kong & The International Vampire Film and Arts Film Fest.
