Michele Meek

Founder of NewEnglandFilm.com

Michele Meek is an award-winning filmmaker, writer and educator who pioneered the development of NewEnglandFilm.com in 1997. She also led the transition of the 30-year-old magazine The Independent to the nonprofit Independent Media Publications. She has worked in nearly every aspect of the film business from script reader to writer/director to film festival jury member to film journalist, and spent years in film distribution. She co-edited The Independent's Guide to Film Distribution in 2014.
