Scarlett Shepard

Film festival founder, curator, filmmaker

Scarlett Shepard was responsible for founding the Women’s Film Institute/San Francisco International Women's Film Festival in 2004. Shepard is an activist, filmmaker and community educator. She graduated from San Francisco State University with a visual arts degree focused on filmmaking. She has produced many films, media arts programs, and cultural events that benefit and enrich the community.
