I have lived and worked for years in the southern jungle of Peru and have come to love and appreciate it. I have also come to understand many of the problems the region and society face and the unique challenges to solving any of them. However, there are some things which can be done and one thing that is entirely possible regarding the environmental degradation is to reforest areas of degraded land. It just takes some money to pay expenses and a willingness to get the work done.
