Only Gilt is a story about first love. Before the giddying pleasures of teenage love comes the simpler joy of the tweenage crush. Unlike teenage love, which is often caught up in the swell of raging hormones, the tweenage crush has the effect of something different. For it is during this time that the blissful ignorance of infancy starts to fade and a greater awareness of our individuality begins to blossom and, along with this, a growing need to be accepted.
