Let me introduce myself: my name is Ronja Jansz, a spontaneous upcoming film maker from The Netherlands with a most professional attitude towards film. Over the last years I have been very involved in numerous projects both in Europe as well as in the United States, usually as Assistant Director. I very much enjoy helping others creating their projects but feel that the time is here for me to pursue my own movie. Last year I started writing Annabel Lee, a short movie that I feel very passionate about. I submitted my movie to Salvador Carrasco, one of the teachers at Santa Monica College who has become a great mentor of mine over the past two years. He selected Annabel Lee -out of the 25 submissions!!- to be supported by the College. This means that I have access to great film equipment, full-time guidance and mentorship from the Film department, and a great professional film crew that currently consists of 28 people. However, making a short is not easy and certainly not cheap. We have to purchase permits, insurance, props, food to keep my actors and crew happy, locations (f.e. for my plane scene), gas mileage, costumes, set decoration, music rights, the actors, and so forth. Therefore we could really use the help of anybody, of you! Please support us in making this movie!
