<p>A cum laude graduate of <span class="caps">SUNY</span> Purchase’s Conservatory of Theatre Arts and Film, Cincinnati, Ohio native Brandon Harris has directed several award winning short films including Happiness is no fun., a recipient of the 2006 National Board of Review student filmmaking grant and Evangeleo, which has screened at a dozen film festivals including the 2007 Slamdance Film Festival and NewFest.</p> <p>Mr. Harris writes for several of America’s leading film publications. He is a Contributing Editor Filmmaker Magazine. He has contributed to SpoutBlog, Hammer to Nail, The National Board of Review online, Moving Pictures Magazine, Variety’s The Curcuit and the Cinema Echo Chamber.</p> <p>Before entering the world of film journalism, Brandon several as a development associate and office manager at the acclaimed independent production company Forensic Films (Raising Victor Vargas, What Happened Was, Joe The King, Idlewild). After leaving Forensic, Brandon has produced over half a dozen short films and the forthcoming feature film A Light in the Window Lost.</p> <p>His most recent directorial effort Biospheres, a short film in collaboration with novelist Jonathan Lethem’s Promiscuous Materials Project, stars Ry-Russo Young (Orphans, Hannah Takes the Stairs, You Won’t Miss Me) and is currently making the festival rounds.</p>
