Julia Wallace - Sangodare Akinwale

Durham, North Carolina, United States

This fundraiser is to support the liberation work of Julia Roxanne Wallace/Sangodare Akinwale using multimedia and art as a tool to connect to legacy.

I create media and art intended to heal and transform as founder of Queer Renaissance, a multimedia movement with the premise we can create the world anew; co-creator of both Black Feminist Film School; and Mobile Homecoming, a national intergenerational experiential archive project that seeks to amplify generations of Black LGBTQ brilliance. Julia has a B.S. in Multimedia Computer Science from UNCA, a MDiv. from Emory and has completed coursework towards a Masters in Film Production.
