Langley McArol - has been a professional Actor for the better part of his life. SUPERHERO is not the first, but is the greatest in writing/directing accomplishments, thus far, for McArol. His television pilot script for a series titled, One of the Girls, placed as a Quarter Finalist in Script-A-Palooza (2009), and NexTV (2010). His Acting credits include: One Tree Hill, Dawson's Creek, Going To California, and the 2011 feature release, BOLDEN. At the age of 11 months, Langley was diagnosed with a rare malignant tumor. For nearly 3 years, he was treated with high doses of radiation, and chemotherapy. Given a 10% chance of long-term survival, the doctors had nearly given up hope. 32 years later, Langley is a healthy, respected, Actor/ Writer, and Producing his own productions in the South East. He earned his SAG card in 2001 from respected Film/Television Director, DJ Caruso (Disturbia, The Shield). Critics have referred to Langley's performances on stage, and screen, as “Spellbinding”... “Hilarious”... “Genuine”... and “endearingly sensitive”. “My mother gave up a lot to raise me, as a single parent. Which, also having to deal with my health issues, wasn't an easy task. I owe everything I have to her, and what she sacrificed. SUPERHERO is my way of utilizing what I've learned, and the industry friends I've made, to say Thank You, and let everyone know what type of person she was. Mom was truly MY superhero.” SUPERHERO is a tribute to Langley's mother, who passed away when Langley was a teenager. Langley spent the next few years, orphaned, moving from place to place. He attributes his ability to jump life's hurdles, and the success of his minor accomplishments as a performer, to his mom.
