Diagnosed with AKU in 1978. Doctor in Czechoslovakia (!?) prescribed high-dose Vit. C. Symptom-free for 20yrs apart from dark-red urine and black ear wax. Very sporty - played cricket for Sussex (12-15) and was an assistant PGA golf professional (19-22). Moved to US with wife Michelle in 2001. Became aware of arthritic pain in my back at 35. Now 42, it is really, really unpleasant. Also diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1990. Two kids - Sam (9), Madeline (6). Work from home as a golf writer.
