<p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Jahcobie Cosom is a living testimony that no matter what cards you have been dealt in your lifetime- you are worth no less than your dreams and a fulfilled destiny. He is a survivor of stage 4 Nasopharyngeal Cancer, currently in remission. He has lost more than 300 lbs to date and is constantly building upon his knowledge of lifestyle with hopes of ending the obesity and self image epidemics.</p> <p>Jahcobie Cosom, is an intuitive Director, Producer, Filmmaker (DP/ Cinematography), and entrepreneur/ motivator. A native of Boston, MA and raised in Dorchester/ Roxbury minority communities where poverty, suicide, incarceration, substance addiction, homophobia and racism initiated his life long marriage to the arts. Jahcobie is a high school graduate of The Boston Arts Academy where he studied Theatre Arts and became the schools first Media Arts Major- graduating in theatre and media. He holds a BFA from California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, CA where he not only practiced and advocated for interdisciplinary art form but also sat on the board of trustees, and was heavily involved in administrative bodies such as student council, academic council, and safety and disaster committee. From the tender age of 6, Jahcobie was know for his spontaneous, edgy, and loving personality. Only 22 years old his work has been featured across America and abroad including Germany, Museum of Fine Arts Boston, Los Angeles RedCat Theater, Dallas and Philadelphia.&nbsp; He is an interdisciplinary director, writer and producer with vision, integrity and resilience who also has a strong passion for working with youth. For the past two years he has been teaching Silent Film workshops through the CalArts Community Arts Partnership (CAP) and the Los Angeles County Arts Commission at Hart Hall. Just recently his film, ... Moments... has become available on Comcast Xfinity throughout New England. He has also done commercial work for The City of Santa Clarita, Heroin Kills campaign. <br /><br />Jahcobie is the founder and C.E.O of CoCo Chic Productions, which serves to give image and agency to the disenfranchised images, lifestyles, techniques and artist of today. His writing Metempsychosis was featured in&nbsp; "Psychic Outlaws", at CalState University/ Los Angeles Luckman Arts Complex. He is a active playwright in TC Squared Theatre Company, his last piece, Qui'Mo Chic: 4SW was performed at The Boston Playwrights Theatre. He is also member of the Circuit Debris collective- where eight months into cancer treatment he summoned the strength to give the gift of not only a heartfelt but "...new and courageous" performance. He looks forward to many more collaborations and opportunities. He is currently working on a feature documentary/ narrative piece titled "Time Killed The Big Bang Theory".</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
