Sam Truitt was born in Washington, DC, and raised there and in Tokyo, Japan. He is the author of ten books, including TOKYOATOTO (SHP, 2020), HERESWAY (MadHat, 2018) and DICK: A VERTICAL ELEGY (Lunar Chandelier, 2014). He is the recipient of a Howard Fellowship, two Fund for Poetry grants and a 2002 Contemporary Poetry Series Award from the University of Georgia. The Director of Station Hill Press and President of the Institute for Publishing Arts, he lives in Woodstock, NY.
