Break the Silence Media & Arts Project (BTSMAP) uses community public art & technology, including murals, websites, social & new media, to create spaces for critical thinking & action. BTSMAP moves from the local to the global, from the streets of San Francisco to refugee camps of Palestine. The projects make visible histories & relationships that have been obliterated & forgotten; making connections to national & global issues of social justice, borders, precarity, migrations & decolonization.
