A.J. made his debut as a writer and director in 2007 with the award-winning short film, Hirsute. The short premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and went on to play at over 50 film festivals around the world, winning 9 film festival prizes. His last short film, Madame Perrault's Bluebeard, premiered at Clermont-Ferrand in 2011 and was selected out of the Cannes Short Film Corner for a special Coup de Coeur screening. Stress Position is A.J.'s first feature film.
