<div>Esosa &nbsp;is an award winning Actress, Writer, "Directress". Born in New York City to Nigerian parents, Esosa grew up in New York, New Jersey, California, Jamaica, and Virginia. Her nomadic upbringing engrained in her a love for travel and sparked in her a deep desire for artistic expression. From a very young age she was blessed to observe and absorb many cultures, which now informs her chameleon sensibilities as an artist.</div><div><br></div><div>Recently named a "<b><i>Young African Visionary</i></b>," by Obaasema Magazine and included in Applause Africa's list of "<b><i>30 Most Intriguing Africans in New York</i></b>" Esosa is a multi-faceted artist that has the passion and drive to greatly impact the world of entertainment. Her recent projects include the television pilots "<b><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: normal;">Brooklyn Shakara</span></i></b>," and "<i>An African City</i>," and roles in the independent films "<i>Ma George</i>," "<i>Unguarded</i>," "<i>The Exposure</i>," and "<i>The Imperialists Are Still Alive</i>". Her work as an actress has appeared on VOX Africa, BET, BET-J, and MTV and screened in numerous festivals and art circles worldwide including: Sundance Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival, International Film Festival Rotterdam, Milano Festival, the MOMA, and the Whitney Biennial.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>As a filmmaker she has written and directed several short films to date including: "<i>Simple As Blk &amp; White</i>," and "<i>50 Bucks in Argentin</i>a," which was an official selection in the 2011 Cannes Film Short Corner, was MTV-U Film of the Week, and won Best Short at the Nigerian Entertainment Film Festival. Based on the merit of her first short films, she was handpicked by Hollywood Producer/Director Joel Schumacher as the winner of the filmmaker competition on the 2007 MTV-U reality show Meet or Delete". Currently she is fundraising for her first feature film, "One Night in Brooklyn."&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>The first draft of "One Night in Brooklyn" was a semi-finalist in the BlueCat &amp; PAGE International Screenwriting Awards. The film has also been awarded a development grant from the Brooklyn Arts Council.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Esosa is a graduate of Cornell University and has studied Directing, Producing, and Marketing Management at Columbia University.</div>
