Miranda Bergman has been an active community artist for more than 40 years. Her murals span time and distance—from the 1960s in the Haight-Ashbury and the Mission, from “Educate to Liberate, Lessons in Community,” on John Adams Community College, to the monumental “Maestrapeace” on the Women’s Building in SF—and from Minneapolis to Austin, Nicaragua to Palestine. Her contributions and art works and essays have been cited in and/or photographed for many books, magazines, and several films.
