Marinthia Gutierrez

Marinthia Gutiérrez is a writer, director, and choreographer. A true fronteriza, she was born in San Diego, CA and raised in Tijuana, Mexico. She graduated from the UCLA Theater, Film, and Television School in 2018 with a Bachelor’s in Film. Her vampire dance short film, “Ella se queda” (She stays), is the recipient of the 2022 Standard Fantastic Fellowship. Her work has been screened at independent movie theaters such as Cine Tonalá in CDMX, the Tijuana Cinematheque, and in Cinemauto in LA.
