In 2012, the kids of Cartagena changed my life. When I found out so many of them couldn't read, I could clearly see their path - and it wasn't a pretty one. I have always believed that if you can dream of something, with hard work and tenacity you can achieve it. But what I have also realised is that there should be a caveat on that. Without knowing how to read and write, things are difficult indeed. I just want to give these kids a chance at a better future and I believe it is possible.
