I am a book editor and publisher, with my own imprint, Sarah Crichton Books, at Farrar, Straus and Giroux. I moved to Boerum Hill, Brooklyn in the mid-1980s. That's when I met Stanley Theodore, and most of the neighbors who are helping with this effort. I raised my now 25-year-old daughter here on Bergen Street. Stanley still remembers her birthday.
