Helping End Extreme Poverty Through Proven Microfinance Solutions For the Bottom Billion

I am the Co-Founder of Bottom Billion Fund, a new nonprofit dedicated to helping end extreme poverty through focused work with the Bottom Billion, the poorest individuals on the planet living on less than $1.25 a day and at grave risk for dying from being too poor.

I worked as an economist at the Chicago Board of Trade for sixteen years, most recently as the Vice President of Research and Development. I then shifted gears to focus my professional experience on helping to empower the poor through financial solutions. For over 15 years, I've consulted with Finca International, Shorebank Corporation, Opportunity International, Grameen Foundation, and the Microfinance Information Exchange (the MIX), among others.

I received my MBA with a specialization in Economics and Finance from the University of Chicago.
