John is a graduate of the University of Kansas and has been making films since 2000. In addition to directing Fit Trip, John has made a number of films including the 2009 feature Angel of Music and the 2010 short Loves Fate. Following the commercial release of Angel of Music, John authored a memoir about the film, "Angel of Music: Making an indy film about The Phantom of the Opera". John currently lives in Kansas City, MO.
