Take Flight!

<p>So I&#8217;ve always wanted to make a movie. But I think that most people have. I never thought I would have the chance.</p> <p>I got my chance though, when, out of the blue, my younger brother is incredibly interested in acting. So, he&#8217;s enrolled in acting classes and is practicing with vigor. As a goal for him (and a hobby for me), I told him we&#8217;d make a movie next year. <span class="caps">CUE</span> MY <span class="caps">ENTHUSIASM</span>!</p> <p>My idea was a short &#8211; written, filmed and edited by me. That&#8217;s all fine and good, but the more that we thought about it and discussed it we figured, well, why not go all the way?</p> <p>I started researching independent films. Over the course of about a week in late July 2008, I learned an immense amount and became very inspired. There are independent filmmakers all over the country who&#8217;s production budgets are just as low as mine. This excites me seeing as how my budget is what one would spend on any hobby&#8230;&#8230;..not very much.</p> <p>I really dug deep and I learned that there are <span class="caps">TONS</span> of people willing to work for nothing other than screen credit and the experience itself. I also learned that not only is this going to be a fun hobby, but that it&#8217;s a totally feasible project.</p> <p>So, I got started.</p>
