I was born in Kathmandu, Nepal, and adopted when I was a baby. I grew up in Eugene, Corvallis, and Portland, Oregon. I studied Theater Studies and Ethnicity, Race, and Migration at Yale. I decided to start The Kumari Project to help the kids at the orphanage I was adopted from in Nepal.
