Filmmaker & Film Professor

Emily is a filmmaker, editor & designer. She teaches film at her alma mater, Columbia College Chicago. In 2015 she started Burnt Sugar Productions with award-winning sommelier (and now husband) Jeremy Quinn. Their first feature documentary "Our Blood Is Wine" premiered at the Berlinale International Film Festival in 2018, followed by a theatrical release with Music Box Films and worldwide release with Magnet Film. Together they want to tell stories of culture through the lens of beverage.
