Javier Badillo

If illusion is the first of all pleasures, film is the mother of all illusions!

<p>Javier is a Venezuelan/Canadian film and animation director, producer and writer.</p> <p>In 2003 he moved to Canada to work on 2D Animated TV shows including the award winning series Ed, Edd, n’ Eddy and Atomic Betty. A few years later he made the transition to live action, which he currently focuses on.</p> <p>Javier has produced, co-written and directed 7 live-action short films and 5 Animated short films, including award winners and festival runners like "Faith and Conviction (2011), “Scars” (Film, 2008), “Swords dont run out of bullets” (Animation, 2006) and “Henchin” (Film, 2009). He is currently in post-production of his latest short, a romantic comedy titled "Afternoon at Gudrun" (2012).<br></p> <p>His clients include The National Film Board of Canada, Cartoon Network, The Beijing Urban Development Group, The Malaysian Sultan of Pahang, and a number of internationally acclaimed filmmakers, from Canada and abroad.</p> <p>He is currently writing his debut dramatic Feature Film, and has other projects in various stages of development. He makes ends meet by working as a Storyboard Artist, Production Designer, Art Director, Key Grip, and Gaffer on independent film productions in Vancouver, and still does Animation contracts from time to time. <br></p> <p>He plays in a Latin punk rock band called Caracas.</p>
