I founded SMART Politics after the devastating 2016 election to teach progressives how to have persuasive and productive conversations with conservatives. Radical Civility and the Radical Civility Cycle were developed for activists to use while canvassing voters. My past training and experience in psychiatry and political psychology inform my work.
