Born in Brazil in 1979, I have travelled and lived around the world guided by my curiosity. Along the way I learnt English, French, German, Portuguese, Spanish and currently learning Zulu.

I wrapped my first feature documentary, "Jeppe on a Friday", a people-driven intimate story, portraying a contemporary Johannesburg neighborhood and its vast contradictions.

I have several other projects in different stages of development or completed such as "Fatherhood" a factual series about a gay man who decides to become a dad, and "Pink and Green", a love story which takes place in Los Angeles with, as its backdrop, the political agenda of equality.

After moving to South Africa in 2010 to pursue my Master's degree in Fine Arts I also formed a new production company: Urucu Media, based in Parkhurst, Johannesburg. Urucu's mandate is to develop economically viable films by telling moving stories that challenge, enchant, captivate and stimulate the audience.
