My Short Bio

PL Byrd, a potent mix of California desert and North Carolina red clay, is the eldest daughter of a strapping gypsy Marine and his bony, elegant orphaned wife. She cut her teeth on chocolate milk and cornbread, published her first poem when she was six and was married five times by the age of seven (three times to the same boy). Her previous book credits include America the Good (contributing writer) and Mr. Tony's Lessons of La Famiglia (author).
