Award-winning screenwriter Joan Macbeth met Vancouver actress Stevie Jackson at a film industry networking group. Stevie, who did not consider herself a writer, had a short, funny script she’d written to cheer up a friend. Joan knows a writer when she reads one, and offered to help Stevie gussy up the script. Suddenly, Butter Tarts Productions was born. Their award-winning short film, Honestly Charlotte, is now screening in international film festivals.
