Long time friend

From the time my husband Arvie and I met Peace Corps Baba, some 15 years ago, we have been closest friends. Our home is his home when he travels to Portland, and we have been welcomed as family into his home in Mopti for several months over the years. We have seen with our own eyes the admiration he has from his people and his tender care of the children and adults that look to him for his wisdom and support. It is the privilege of our lives to know him and be considered part of his family We have traveled with he and Mariam to Dogon, Burkina Faso, Timbuktu, Goa, and earlier this year he took us to Guinea where he took me to learn indigo dyeing. We owe him and his family a deep gratitude that we can never fully repay. We are so grateful that Baba's and our friends Ronna Neuenschwander and her husband Baba Wague Diakite join us in running this campaign to do what we can to help our friend at this critical time.

We know our KoFalen friends and Peace Corps volunteers from all over the world will join in this effort and we thank everyone in advance.
