As a writer and designer, I'm intrigued by stories of design icons. I became fascinated by Josef Ganz's crusade to realize the Volkswagen in 1920s & early 1930s Germany. My research started me on a journey through cultural & automotive history, crossing borders and meeting fascinating people. Following the book, exhibitions and documentary - my dream is to rebuild Ganz's first serially produced Volkswagen. Demonstrating the '33 Standard Superior would ensure his story is never forgotten.
