The Granger Bros

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

“Who are The Granger Brothers and what the hell is wrong with them?”

Matt Granger’s film career began in 1999 when he was hired as videographer on Bryan Singer’s “X-Men”. Since then, he has worked on such films as “X2”, “I, Robot” and “Snakes on a Plane.” Currently, Matt is unemployed and Mikey works in a restaurant.

For over a decade Matt, as a Director, Producer and Cast assistant, has worked with some of Hollywood’s finest; Bryan Singer, Alex Proyas, Harrison Ford and Al Pacino, just to name a few.

Together, Matt & Mikey have created over twenty short films including “Epic: The Arthur P Laymond Story” which included rare comedic performances from both Robert Patrick (the liquid Terminator) and Harrison Ford (Indiana-freakin-Jones!!!).

In 2006 Matt & Mikey had seven of their short comedies licensed by Lionsgate Films for use in the Dane Cook/Jessica Alba film “Good Luck Chuck”. Not only did the brothers write, shoot and edit these films, but somehow Matt also convinced Mikey to slather himself in baby oil and appear 97.4% nude in one of them. That was awesome.

In August 2009, MTV and Quentin Tarantino chose the Granger Brothers’ comedy spoof “Quarter Pounder with Cheese” as the winner of MTV’s “Bastardize Tarantino” film contest. Not only did they win the contest but Tarantino, before a live national television audience said…

“They put the bong down” (a completely erroneous statement)

and

“It wasn’t what they tried to do, it was what they accomplished…this was a really clever idea.”

He then gazed deep into their eyes from across the MTV Studios and said…

“You guys did a genuinely funny scene from beginning to end. No filler. All good!”

They were then covered in confetti, given a sweet-ass TV and a bunch of money. They’re selling their old TV so if you need a 37" JVC Tube from 2002 send me a message.

Among The Granger Bros films was the 2005 gem “Operation: Roxanne” which introduced Charlie Da Clown and Sprinkles. The brothers knew that they had created something special. After years of character development, Charlie and Sprinkles have become a lovable and classic on-screen duo, harkening back to the era of Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis.
