Jeff Collins grew up in upstate New York. Jeff's love for filmmaking began as a young child when he created short films in his free time. He carried his strong passion for filmmaking into cinematography classes in high school, where several of his short films were selected to various New York State film festivals. In addition, Jeff created a commercial for a Michael Jordan Brand contest to promote the brand, and the premise of his commercial was utilized for a Jordan Brand TV commercial the following year. After high school, Jeff attended the University of Arizona and Boston College where he majored in accounting. During this time, Jeff created several films for various classes (two short narratives for a spanish class and documentaries for english and marketing classes). He received A+'s on all of the projects and was advised by all of the professors to go into film. He also wrote a feature length script in college entitled,"In The End", which he hopes to translate on the big screen one day. Following college, Jeff worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers were he audited Time Warner, CBS TV Stations, and the YES Network. Jeff then went on to work at the MLB Network as a Financial Analyst and a
volunteer Final Cut Editor for a year, before he finally transitioned to the finance group at HBO. After learning the business side of the industry, Jeff started his own production company, This Seems Reel Entertainment, LLC. Under this company, Jeff completed his first short film in eight years, "Let It Bleed", in the beginning of 2011. Jeff wrote, produced, directed, shot, and edited the film, which was subsequently selected to the 2011 Hoboken International Film Festival and named one of 2011's "Best Internet Videos" by Internet Video Magazine. After this success, Jeff transitioned to the Creative Production group at HBO where he was a producer and editor. In early 2012, Jeff completed his next short film, "10 Years Later", which stars up and coming actress Katerina Mikailenko. The film premiered at HBO in early April and Jeff has since been contacted by many producers and studios interested in the feature film version, including Scott Free Productions, HBO,
Millenium Films, ImageMovers, FilmEngine, Frank Darabont, and Edward Burns. Jeff and his writing partner and good friend, Kevin Connor, completed the first draft of the feature length version of “10 Years Later” in early September 2012, and have submitted the script to all interested parties.

In the meantime, Jeff just finished wrapping as Assistant Director and Nikelodeon star Daniella Monet. In addition, he was recently hired by AFI to direct their video coverage of the AFI Festival, including the screenings, post-conferences, galas, and after parties. He also works in development for Robert Zemeckis’ company, ImageMovers, on the Universal lot in Los Angeles where he reads and writes coverage on film and TV scripts. Jeff is also in the development stages of a feature length film entitled, "Have a Nice Day", which is based off of the New York Times #1 best seller "Have a Nice Day", which was written by the WWE superstar Mick Foley. Jeff will be the Director's Assistant on the project which will be directed and written by Christopher J. Scott. Jeff’s other strong passion includes running his foundation, Another Level of Living (A.L.L), which hosts annual events that aim to raise awareness and money for various causes, and to promote a positive and healthy way of living.
