I'm director of HESPERUS, playings medieval and traditional fiddles and violas da gamba on roots music from Sephardic and Irish to Machaut and Joanie Mitchell. My particular specialty is the pardessus de viole; with NEA support I've played debut concerts at Carnegie Recital Hall and the Kennedy Center, toured the States, and released four pardessus recordings. I teach, perform, improvise, produce recordings, compose and arrange, write popular and scholarly articles, and direct workshops.
